Co-operation players are athletes who are subject to special regulations on playing permits that exist in some sports associations . These are eligible to play for two different clubs if certain requirements are met.

National regulations

In Austrian football , this is a player who, through a cooperation agreement, is entitled to play during the current season for his higher-class home club or a football academy as well as for a cooperation club (e.g. a farm team ). While most football associations usually exclude players from playing for two different clubs while the transfer window is closed, the ÖFB, with the provisions on cooperation agreements anchored in its championship rules , offers clubs and football academies the possibility of a partially limited number of To provide age group U-22 players with game practice in other teams and to use these players in their own games in the same season.

A similar regulation was introduced in Swedish football in 1995, which was revised in 2003 and adjusted again in November 2011 following a complaint by UEFA in order to be in line with the FIFA Statutes. Since then, no higher-class clubs have been allowed to cooperate with each other, the regional associations are responsible for the more detailed regulations for loan and cooperation transactions between the main club and the farm team in accordance with the game regulations.
