Robert Leipertz (born February 1, 1993 in Jülich ) is a German soccer player who has been under contract with 1. FC Heidenheim since January 2019 .

Career

Leipertz joined the youth department of Alemannia Aachen in 2008 through the youth stations FC Rasensport Tetz , Bedburger BV and Viktoria Arnoldsweiler . He first played in the U-17 and then for the U-19. He scored 18 goals in 24 games for the A youth team at Alemannia Aachen. In 2012 he moved up to the professional squad. He made his debut in the third division on matchday eight against the Stuttgarter Kickers ; Aachen lost the game 1: 3. At the same time he was also in the squad of the second team that plays in the Oberliga Mittelrhein . There he made his debut against FC Hennef 05 and scored a goal in the 3-2 win. After the Aacheners were relegated to the Regionalliga West , Leipertz moved to the second team of FC Schalke 04.

On December 15, 2013, he was appointed to the Schalke professional squad for the first time by coach Jens Keller and sat on the bench in the game against SC Freiburg (2-0), but was not substituted on. For the 2014/15 season Leipertz moved to the second division promoted 1. FC Heidenheim . For the 2016/17 season he was signed by Bundesliga club FC Ingolstadt 04 , with whom he received a contract valid until June 30, 2018. Leipertz played six Bundesliga games and was relegated to the second division with the FCI. After two and a half years at the Schanzern , Leipertz returned to 1. FC Heidenheim in January 2019.
