history

The association was founded in early June 1912. The first successes came after the Second World War . In 1948 the Bedburgers were promoted to the district class. Two years later, he was promoted to the state league , the highest amateur league on the Middle Rhine at the time. After three years of the national league, it went back to the district class in 1953 . There the team was runner-up behind VfB Brüggen in 1957 . But as early as 1960, the Bedburgers had to go into the district class. Back in the district class, the team secured the district championship in 1962, but failed in the promotion round at that time, in which the champions of the districts Jülich (FC Rhenania Lohn), Erkelenz (SC Myhl) and Heinsberg (TuS Keyenberg) took part.

In 1965 they finally got promoted again before returning to the national league six years later. The sporting highlight was fourth place in the 1974/75 season. In the 1980s, the Bedburgers became an elevator crew . Relegations in 1981 and 1983 brought the club to the district league A. It was followed by two consecutive promotions in the national league, before the team again relegated and immediately rose again. Another national league era followed with fourth place in the 1990/91 season as the highlight. More elevator years followed for the Bedburgers. In 1993, 1999 and 2007 the team was relegated from the regional league and made it back up in 1996, 2003 and 2008.

In the 2011/12 season, the first team of Bedburger BV played in the regional league for the last time, from which they had to relegate to the district league as thirteenth in the table. In the 2017/18 season she had to accept relegation to the district league A. A season later she was relegated to the district league B.
