Kevin Simone Sessa (born July 6, 2000 in Fellbach ) is a German - Argentine soccer player . The midfielder is under contract with 1. FC Heidenheim .

Career

Sessa comes from Fellbach in the Stuttgart region and started playing club football at the age of nine. He enjoyed his football training at VfB Stuttgart , FSV Waiblingen and the Stuttgarter Kickers . At the age of fifteen he moved to the youth department of 1. FC Heidenheim .

There he was a regular player in the central midfield of the A-Junioren-Bundesliga . At the age of seventeen, the German-Argentinian made his debut under head coach Frank Schmidt on matchday 27 of the 2017/18 season in the 2nd Bundesliga and was on the field for the full season. In spring 2018, Sessa, together with Gökalp Kılıç and Tobias Reithmeir, received a professional contract valid until June 2021 and was firmly integrated into the first team for the 2019/20 second division season .

Private

Kevin's brother Nicolás is also a professional footballer. Through their father Marcelo, who came to Germany with his wife as an immigrant, the brothers also hold Argentine citizenship and would also be eligible to play for Italy . The third brother, Dominic, is also active in the lower-class men's area. In the 2019/20 second division season, Kevin and Nicolás are direct competitors with their clubs Heidenheim and FC Erzgebirge Aue .

Based on Diego Maradona , Sessa was nicknamed "Diego" when he joined the Heidenheim professionals as the fourth "Kevin".

In 2018 he enrolled at the vocational college in Heidenheim to obtain his technical college entrance qualification.
