Jonas Föhrenbach (born January 26, 1996 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German football player who is under contract with 1. FC Heidenheim .
Career
society
Föhrenbach moved in 2009 from PSV Freiburg in the football school of SC Freiburg and came first for the C-youth used.
Since the 2014/15 season , Föhrenbach was in the regional league squad of the second Freiburg team . In June 2015 he received a professional contract with the first team of SC Freiburg. On the 4th matchday of the 2015/16 season , Föhrenbach made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga in a 2-1 win against Fortuna Düsseldorf . He made his first appearance in the 1st Bundesliga after the rise of Freiburg on November 5, 2016, the 10th matchday of the 2016/17 season, when he lost 3-0 at home to VfL Wolfsburg in the 89th minute for Nicolas Höfler came on as a substitute.
For the 2017/18 season, Föhrenbach was loaned to the 3rd division for Karlsruher SC . He played his first competitive game for Karlsruhe on July 21, 2017, the first matchday of the 2017/18 season, in a 2-2 draw against VfL Osnabrück . There he headed his first goal for KSC in the 1-1 draw against Preußen Münster on October 21, 2017, the 13th matchday. As a regular left-back with three goals and three assists in 36 league games, Föhrenbach played a key role in the fact that KSC reached the promotion relegation at the end of the season, in which, however, they failed at FC Erzgebirge Aue .
For the 2018/19 season he was awarded to SSV Jahn Regensburg in the second Bundesliga , for which he completed 26 appearances.
After the loan contract expires, Föhrenbach will not return to Freiburg, as 1. FC Heidenheim committed him and provided him with a contract valid until June 2023.
National team
From November 2013 to May 2014 Föhrenbach played in six friendly matches for the German U18 national team . With the U19 national team , Föhrenbach took part in the 2015 European Championships in Greece and failed with her as the bottom of the group. He played a total of eleven games for the U19s.
