Dominik Kohr (born January 31, 1994 in Trier ) is a German soccer player . He has been under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt since the 2019/20 season and is used as a defensive midfielder .
Career

Kohr comes from the Quint part of Trier and started playing soccer in 2000 at TuS Issel , a district club from Schweich in the Trier-Saarburg district . In 2008, at the age of 14, he joined the youth department of Bayer 04 Leverkusen . As an A-youth , he took part in the professional team's training camp in January 2012 and made his debut on April 21, 2012 (32nd matchday) in the 1-0 win in the away game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim , when he was in the 89th minute for André Schürrle was substituted on.
On January 13, 2014 Kohr was loaned to FC Augsburg until June 30, 2015 . After having only played a reserve role at FC Augsburg for a long time, he scored his first Bundesliga goal with the winning goal to make it 1-0 on March 7, 2015 (24th matchday) in his 21st Bundesliga game for FC Augsburg against VfL Wolfsburg in the margin on the kick kicked by Tobias Werner and blocked by Diego Benaglio in the 63rd minute. For the 2015/16 season , Kohr was finally committed and given a contract until June 30, 2019.
On April 12, 2017, Bayer 04 Leverkusen announced that Kohrs would be signed back from the 2017/18 season . The association used a contractually agreed repurchase option. In his first season, Dominik Kohr commuted between the regular eleven and the bench, but was regularly used. He qualified with Bayer 04 Leverkusen for the UEFA Europa League, in which Leverkusen were eliminated in the second round against FK Krasnodar . Meanwhile in the second season in the Rhineland, Kohr was only used irregularly at the Leverkusen team.
At the beginning of July 2019, the native of Trier moved to the Leverkusen league competitor Eintracht Frankfurt .
National team
Kohr made his debut in the national jersey on December 12, 2011 as part of the four-nation tournament in Petach Tikwa , when the U18 national team lost 2-1 to Israel. After three tournament games Kohr came to five more missions for the U18 selection team. After he had played twelve internationals for the U19 national team and scored a goal, he moved up to the U20 national team , for which he made his debut on November 19, 2013 in Łęczna in a 1-0 victory over Poland. 2017 he won the Under-21 national team , the Under-21 European Championship , he replaced it in the semi-final against England , and in the final against Spain , which one: ended for Germany: 0 (1: 0).

Personal
Kohr is the son of former Bundesliga player Harald Kohr , his sister Karoline also plays soccer for 1. FC Köln . He completed an apprenticeship as a sports and fitness clerk at Bayer 04 Leverkusen . On December 27, 2018 Kohr married his long-time girlfriend in Trier.
