Marijan Ćavar (born February 2, 1998 in Prozor-Rama ) is a Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player . The attacking midfielder is under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt and is a senior international .
Career
societies
Ćavar moved to the youth department of HŠK Zrinjski Mostar in 2014 . For his first team, he played for the first time in the Premijer Liga on May 28, 2017 . In the 2017/18 season , Ćavar played 16 times until the end of the year, nine of which were in the first team. In mid-January 2018, he switched to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt , with whom he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2021. Ćavar made his competitive debut for Frankfurt on April 28, 2018 in the 1: 4 defeat by Bayern Munich , where he came on for Mijat Gaćinović in the 59th minute . In May 2018, Ćavar won the DFB Cup with Eintracht after beating FC Bayern Munich 3-1 in the final .
In August 2018, Ćavar was removed from the squad by the new coach Adi Hütter and six other players and transferred to a separate training group. On August 31, 2018, he moved to the Croatian first division club NK Osijek on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season .
National team
Ćavar made his debut in June 2016 in the Bosnian-Herzegovinian U19 national team , for which he played a total of ten times. On September 1, 2017, Ćavar played for the U21 team for the first time in the 3-1 defeat against Romania .
On January 29, 2018, Ćavar played for the senior national team for the first time in a 0-0 friendly against the USA .
