Philipp Ochs (born April 17, 1997 in Wertheim ) is a German soccer player . The offensive player is under contract with Hannover 96 and is a former junior national player.

Career

Ochs began his career at SV Viktoria Wertheim and moved to the youth department of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2009 . In the 2013/14 season he won the German A-Junior Championship with the U19s . For the 2015/16 season he was promoted to the professional squad. On August 15, 2015, Ochs made his debut in the 2-1 defeat at Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Bundesliga when he came on for Eugen Polanski in the 82nd minute . In January 2016 he extended his contract in Hoffenheim until June 30, 2019. In August 2016 Ochs was awarded the Fritz Walter Medal in silver.

In the winter break 2017/18 he was awarded to the second division club VfL Bochum until the end of the season . He was used in five league games.

In preparation for the summer of 2018, Ochs initially returned to Hoffenheim. At the beginning of August 2018, he extended his contract term to June 30, 2020 and moved to the Danish first division club Aalborg BK on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season . There the striker, who was temporarily used as a left defender, made 20 top division games, seven appearances for the reserve and four cup games.

After his return to the Kraichgau , the offensive player only came to another assignment for the club's second team in the Regionalliga Südwest due to ankle problems and moved to the 2nd Bundesliga at Hannover 96 at the end of January 2020 , where he signed a contract that was valid until June 2022 signed.

National team

Ochs played for the U15 team of the German Football Association for the first time on November 8, 2011 in the 5-3 defeat against Poland . In his first appearance in the U16 national team on September 14, 2012, he scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Ukraine. Ochs played with the U17 team in May 2014 at the U17 European Championship in Malta . There he completed all three group games and failed with the team as third party. Ochs has been playing for the U19 national team since September 2015 . He was appointed to the German squad for the 2016 European Under-19 Championship in his own country . In the 3: 4 defeat in the group game against Portugal , he scored all three German goals. Overall, he scored four times in the tournament in four games and qualified with the team as the best group third for the 2017 U20 World Cup in South Korea . For that tournament Ochs was nominated again for the German squad and failed with his team in the round of 16 against Zambia .
