The Zambian U-20 national soccer team is a selection team of Zambian soccer players. It is subject to the Football Association of Zambia and represents it internationally at the U-20 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations or at the U-20 African Championships and U-20 World Championships .
In their first World Cup finals, the team was eliminated in the preliminary round in 1999, and in 2007 they reached the round of 16, which they lost to Nigeria .
She finished fourth at the African Championships three times ( 1991 , 1999 and 2007 ) and in 2017 she won the U-20 African Cup in her own country for the first time .
The team is the most successful team with eleven wins in the COSAFA U-20 championship , ie the soccer championship of southern Africa .
