The Mauritanian U-20 national football team is the selection of Mauritanian football players in the U-20 age group . It represents the Fédération de Football de la République Islamique de Mauritanie on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations, but also at the U-20 African Championship (1979 to 2001 in the U-21 age group) of the continental association CAF or the U-20 world Cup (1977 to 2005 world youth Championship) of the FIFA . The team has so far participated in the African Championships twice, most recently in 1987, but has never qualified for a World Cup.
