The Ethiopian U-20 national soccer team is a selection team of Ethiopian soccer players. It is subject to the Ethiopian Football Federation and represents it internationally at the U-20 level , for example in friendly matches against the selection teams of other national associations or at the U-20 African Championships and U-20 World Championships .
The team has so far been able to qualify for the U-20 World Cup once ( 2001 ), but was eliminated there in the group stage.
The greatest success at the African Championships was reaching the semi-finals in 1979 , 1985 , 1993 and 2001 .
