The Algerian U-20 national soccer team is a selection team of Algerian soccer players. It is subject to the Fédération Algérienne de Football and represents it internationally at the U-20 level , for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations or at the U-20 African and U-20 World Cups .

The team has so far participated in a U-20 World Cup. She reached the quarter-finals in Japan in 1979 , but lost them to eventual world champions Argentina .

In 1979 the team became African champions. She also came third three times ( 1981 , 1983 and 1989 ).
