Thomas Smuszynski (* 26. July 1963 ), nicknamed "Bodo" is a German Metal - bassist .

Life

Thomas Smuszynski started his musical career after high school and his military service with the Dortmund metal band Darxon , with whom he joined in 1986 and with whom he recorded a single and the second album No Thrills . He then switched to UDO , Udo Dirkschneider's band . There he played three albums. He was also a founding member of the first Axel-Rudi-Pell line-up . He then played for Running Wild from 1992 to 2000 . After leaving the professional music business, he retired. He remained musically active with the cover band Bourbon Street, which mainly plays around rocker meetings.

Private life

In addition to his musical career, Smuszynski studied security technology . After studying for around 15 years, during which he worked on his musical career, he graduated in 1998 with a degree in engineering . He wrote his diploma thesis in the electronics research department of the VW Group in Wolfsburg . He then worked at PCC before moving to the automotive industry.
