Martin Hansen (born June 15, 1990 in Glostrup ) is a Danish football goalkeeper . He is under contract with Hannover 96 and is a former Danish junior national goalkeeper.

Career

Hansen started his career in the youth of the Danish club Brøndby IF before moving to England for Liverpool in 2006 . There he also played in the youth team, with whom he won the 2007 FA Youth Cup . In 2010 he moved up to the professional squad and was number 41. On July 27, 2011 Bradford City loaned him out for a month. There he made his debut in the men's division on August 6, 2011 in the 2-1 home defeat by Aldershot Town . During his remaining time as a loan player, three more missions followed, all of which he completed over the full playing time. After negotiations about an extension of the loan contract had failed, he returned to Liverpool.

At the end of January 2012, Hansen moved to Viborg FF , with whom he completed the 2012/13 season as a regular player. After a season at FC Nordsjælland , he then moved to ADO Den Haag in the Netherlands in July 2014 . There he scored the goal to make it 2-2 with the hoe in the fifth minute of stoppage time on the first day of the Eredivisie 2015/16 in the game against PSV Eindhoven .

For the 2016/17 season, Hansen went to the German Bundesliga for FC Ingolstadt 04 . His contract originally ran until 2020. Initially, he was a substitute goalkeeper behind Ørjan Nyland ; he made his Bundesliga debut on November 5, 2016 in the 2-0 defeat on matchday 10 against FC Augsburg . Hansen played a total of 23 Bundesliga games as a regular goalkeeper and rose with the Ingolstadt team as 17th in the table. from the Bundesliga. In the 2nd Bundesliga he came to three missions.

At the end of August 2017 he was awarded to SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie until the end of the season . With the SC Heerenveen, Hansen missed the qualification for international business.

In July 2018 Hansen finally left FC Ingolstadt 04 and switched to the Super League for FC Basel ; he received a two-year contract. With the club he won the Swiss Cup . In July 2019, Hansen's contract was terminated.

In August 2019, Martin Hansen joined Strømsgodset IF in the Norwegian first division. As the club's second goalkeeper, he made 13 games and finished eleventh with Strømsgodset IF.

After his contract ended, the Dane returned to the 2nd Bundesliga and received a contract with Hannover 96 that was valid until June 2021 . There he is planned as the successor to the changed Michael Esser to replace Ron-Robert Zieler .

Hansen went through the Danish youth national teams from the U16 to the U19 and completed a game for the U21 .
