Alexander Eberlein (born January 14, 1988 in Fürth ) is a German football player . He is a defender and usually plays in the center- back position.

Career

In his youth, Eberlein played for SF Großgründlach and SpVgg Greuther Fürth , before moving to the U17 of TSV 1860 Munich in 2003. Since January 2006 he has been playing in the second team of TSV 1860. On August 16, 2006 Alexander Eberlein was awarded the silver Fritz Walter Medal by the DFB . In 2007 he won the DFB junior club cup with the A-youth of the Sechzger . He recorded his first appearance in the professional team on February 23, 2007 in the game at FC Carl Zeiss Jena and came to eight games in the second half of the season. In 2007/08 he was nominated to the professional squad, but was only used in the first team. Since then he has played exclusively with the reserve team in the regional league.

For the second half of the 2008/09 season Eberlein moved to the third division club SV Sandhausen . He signed a contract there until 2010. For the 2010/11 season Eberlein moved to league rivals Wacker Burghausen .
