Moritz Göttel (born February 12, 1993 in Braunschweig ) is a German football player . He has been playing for TSV Steinbach Haiger again since summer 2018 .

Career

Göttel had played in the youth teams of VfB Rot-Weiß Braunschweig , Eintracht Braunschweig and VfL Wolfsburg before joining Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2010 . At Gladbach he played in both the U-19 and the second team. In 2011 he took part in the professional training camp. In January 2013 he moved to the 3rd soccer league for SV Babelsberg 03 . With this he was relegated to the regional league in the same year, his contract with the Babelsbergers thus ended in July 2013. For the 2013/14 season he moved to the second team of VfL Bochum . In the summer of 2015, Bochum dissolved its U-23 team and Göttel moved to the Regionalliga Südwest for TSV Steinbach . His seven goals in the first half of the season aroused the interest of the league competitor and championship candidate SV Elversberg , who signed the attacker at the end of January 2016. For the 2018/19 season Göttel switched back to his predecessor club TSV Steinbach Haiger . In preparation for the 2019/20 season, he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture and was out for nine months.

TV appearance

In the broadcast on September 25, 2018, Göttel was a candidate for the quiz show Asked - Hunted in the First . However, he failed in the duel against the "hunter" Sebastian Klussmann .
