Elia Soriano (born June 26, 1989 in Darmstadt ) is a German - Italian soccer player . He is the brother of the Italian international Roberto Soriano .

Career

In his youth, Soriano played for TSG 46 Darmstadt , later in the youth department of SV Darmstadt 98 . In 2007 he finally made the leap into the first team that played in the then fourth-class Oberliga Hessen . In 2008 he qualified with the club for the now fourth-class Regional League South due to the introduction of the new third division . Soriano scored 32 goals in 83 league games for Darmstadt 98.

In 2010 he moved to VfR Aalen , who had been promoted to the third division as champions of the Regionalliga Süd. He played his first professional game on the first day of the new season on July 24, 2010 under coach Rainer Scharinger in the 3-0 away defeat against relegated second division Hansa Rostock . In the following years he came on twelve missions. During the winter break, he and the club terminated the contract dated June 30, 2011 with immediate effect; Soriano then signed a six-month contract with Eintracht Frankfurt's second team , which was extended by a year at the end of the second half of the season after Soriano had scored eight goals in twelve games for his new club. For the new season he moved to the relegated third division club Karlsruher SC . For the 2013/14 season he went to the Stuttgarter Kickers , with whom he signed a two-year contract.

In the winter break of the 2015/16 season , Soriano left the Stuttgarter Kickers at his own request and played for league rivals Würzburger Kickers . On May 24, 2016, he scored the equalizer in the relegation game to the 2nd Bundesliga against MSV Duisburg , which the Würzburger Kickers won 2-1.

In July 2017 he joined the Polish first division club Korona Kielce . In his second season there he was the top scorer of his team with 14 goals in 33 appearances. Soriano then moved to the Dutch first division club VVV-Venlo for the 2019/20 season . He left this again in January 2020 to join the Israeli first division club Hapoel Ra'anana .
