The 2010/11 season of the NRW-Liga was the third season of the Football-NRW-Liga as the fifth highest division in Germany. The season began on August 13, 2010 and ended with the last game day on May 28, 2011. The champions were Rot-Weiss Essen with a five-point advantage over TSV Germania Windeck . The Essenes succeeded in direct promotion back to the regional league . Due to the Windecker's waiver of promotion, third-placed SC Fortuna Köln became the second promoted player in the regional league.
On December 18, 2010, 1. FC Kleve withdrew its team from play. All games played by 1. FC Kleve so far have been removed from the rating. The FC Wegberg-Beeck and SpVgg Erkenschwick announced prematurely, no license for the following season to apply for and were thus adopted as a further relegated. TSV Germania Windeck was relegated as the fourth team, who waived both their right to promotion to the regional league and a starting place in the NRW league. So there was no athletic relegation.
The climbers were FC Viktoria Köln from the Middle Rhine League , TuS Dornberg from the Lower Rhine League and KFC Uerdingen 05 and TuS Erndtebrück from the two seasons of the Westphalia League . The champions of the Middle Rhine League, FC Junkersdorf , joined FC Viktoria Köln for the 2011/12 season. The second team of Arminia Bielefeld and the insolvent Rot Weiss Ahlen from the 3rd division rose from the Regionalliga West to the NRW League.
