Career

In the club

Francky Sembolo started his career in the Republic of Congo with Saint Michel d'Ouenzé . In 2006 he moved to Germany with his compatriot and former teammate Patrick Mouaya . There he was hired by FC Oberneuland and initially played in the Oberliga Nord and after a promotion in the Regionalliga Nord . For the 2009/10 season he moved to third division Holstein Kiel and signed a contract there until the summer of 2011. After his contract in Kiel expired, Sembolo moved to SV Wilhelmshaven in the summer of 2011 , where he scored 18 goals in 27 games. He then got a contract with second division SSV Jahn Regensburg in July 2012 , where he had previously completed a trial training session. Sembolo was able to establish himself quickly in the team and completed a large part of the 32 games in which he was used from the start. After the relegation of Regensburg in 2013, he moved to East Westphalia to the second division promoted Arminia Bielefeld . There Sembolo signed a contract until June 30, 2015, which was only valid for the second division. On January 15, 2014 Sembolo was loaned by Arminia for the back series to third division club Hallescher FC .

In August 2014 he signed a two-year contract with third division club VfL Osnabrück .

In the 2016/17 season, Sembolo first played for the Berlin AK 07 in the Regionalliga Nordost . He left the club during the winter break and moved to the Regionalliga Nord for SV Meppen. After Sembolo achieved promotion to the 3rd football league with the Emsländer , he joined BSV Rehden in the Regionalliga Nord during the summer break .

After a mixed first half of the 2018/19 season, Sembolo joined Hamburg's upper division FC Teutonia 05 Ottensen for the second half.

In 2005 Sembolo made his debut in a World Cup qualifier against Liberia for the Republic of the Congo. In 2008 he played his second international match, this time also in a World Cup qualifier against the Sudan's national soccer team. On October 10, 2010, Sembolo scored his first two international goals in a 3-1 win in qualifying for the 2012 African Cup of Nations against Swaziland .
