The Ursapharm-Arena on the Kaiserlinde , which was Waldstadion Kaiserlinde until 2014 , is a football stadium in Spiesen-Elversberg , Neunkirchen district , where SV Elversberg plays its championship games for the 1st men's team. Occasionally the 2nd men's team also plays on the grass pitch. The Bromelain Cup , a youth tournament of SV Elversberg, takes place in this stadium every year. The permanent place of the fans in the stadium is behind the gate to the east. Due to the insufficient capacity of the stadium and insufficient safety equipment for the 3rd soccer league , the first five home games in the third league season 2013/14 had to be played in the Ludwigsparkstadion in Saarbrücken .

In November 2014, the sponsor Ursapharm from Saarbrücken acquired the naming rights to the stadium for five years . Since then, the venue has been called the Ursapharm-Arena an der Kaiserlinde .

The almost 100-year-old Kaiserlinde , which gives it its name, fell victim to hurricane Niklas at the end of March 2015 .

Technical specifications

The stadium has a floodlight system on four masts with a total of 80 escape lights with an illuminance of 800 lux and a sound system consisting of four event boxes as well as six funnel loudspeakers in the event of an evacuation. Since the floodlight system was overhauled in 2013, evening games can also be played in the 3rd division.

Remodeling and capacity

The stadium has been under construction since June 2013. For up to eight million euros, a sports facility suitable for the second division is to be built in four steps. After the renovation, this should offer space for 15,000 spectators. Since September 2015 the arena has a capacity of approx. 10,000 seats, of which 3,420 seats plus 260 box seats and 6,320 standing seats. As there is no approved fire protection concept for the upper tier, the box seats may not be used.
