The Sportpark Husterhöhe is a football stadium in the Rhineland-Palatinate city of Pirmasens . The regional league team of FK Pirmasens has played its home games here since 2004. In October 2018, the facility was given the sponsor name Framas Stadium , after the Pirmasens sporting goods supplier Framas Kunststofftechnik . The contract runs for five years and the industrial company pays 10,000 euros annually.

history

The pure football stadium was built in 2003/04 in just under 15 months with state funds. The construction costs amounted to around 8 million euros. The completely covered grandstand offers seats for 3,000 spectators. Another 850 spectators can sit in the uncovered opposite stand. Behind the goals and on the sides of the back straight there is standing room for 6,150. The Sportpark Husterhöhe is approved for a total of 10,000 spectators.

In September 2004 the stadium was inaugurated with the championship game of the Oberliga Südwest between the FKP and the amateurs of 1. FC Kaiserslautern . The Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate , Kurt Beck , carried out the symbolic impetus.

Even though the stadium was only opened a few years ago, some changes had to be made early on: With the promotion to the Regionalliga Süd , in which FK Pirmasens played from the 2006/07 season, the floodlights had to be significantly increased and the exits had to be color-coded become. In addition, a mobile player tunnel was purchased.

The Husterhöhe Sports Park does not only include the “Pirmasens Municipal Stadium”. Opposite the stadium is the FKP training area with a grass pitch, an artificial grass pitch and other places such as B. a beach volleyball field.

The club area of the MTV Pirmasens, which is located next to the training area of the FKP, also belongs to the sports park. MTV created a new sporting home for itself there in 2007 with a grass and hard court as well as a gym and a club restaurant. The club's first team currently plays in the C-class, the lowest division in the Pirmasens / Zweibrücken football district.
