Domenico Lo Faso Pietrasanta
Domenico Lo Faso Pietrasanta (born February 21, 1783 in Palermo , † February 15, 1863 in Florence ) was Duke of Serradifalco in Sicily .
Under the name "Serradifalco" he was one of the most important archaeologists in Sicily of his time. He carried out numerous excavations and wrote a five-volume work on the ancient sites of Sicily under the title "Antichità della Sicilia".
In 1838 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences . In 1836 he was made an honorary member of the Prussian and in 1842 an honorary member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences .
