Duisburg fountain mile
The Brunnenmeile Duisburg is a sculpture trail in the city center of Duisburg in North Rhine-Westphalia . This mile was created according to the idea of the Brunswick architect Hartmut Rüdiger after a nationwide competition. The fountain mile is approximately 1 km long. The path was completed in 1993 and runs along the Königstrasse pedestrian zone , which was extensively redesigned after the tram tunnel was built. The fountain mile according to Rüdiger includes the fountains by Volten, Alt, Werthmann, Hegewald, Saint Phalle / Tinguely, Virnich and Marjanov, built from 1983 onwards.
