The 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 is a football club from Neubrandenburg in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern . The women's soccer department was created on January 1st, 2009 when the all-women soccer club FFV Neubrandenburg joined 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04.

prehistory

In the 1970s, a women's team was set up for the first time at Nagema Neubrandenburg. After the reunification, the department changed to the Police Sports Club. Under this name, he was promoted to the then second-rate Regionalliga Nordost in 2001. A year later, on January 17, 2002, the department moved to the newly founded FFV. The greatest success of the FFV was promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2005. After three years in the 2nd division, the team was relegated in 2008.

history

On January 1, 2009, the pure women's soccer club FFV Neubrandenburg joined 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 and formed the club's new women's soccer department. Although the team already belonged to 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04, they ended the 2008/09 season in the third-class Regionalliga Nordost under the old name and will start under the new name from the 2009/10 season.

By winning the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup in 2009 - still under the old name - the team qualified for the DFB Cup . In the DFB-Pokal 2009/10 they met SG Lütgendortmund from Regionalliga West in the first round and were eliminated from the competition with a 2-3 defeat. In the 2009/10 season the team from Neunbrandenburg was knocked off bottom of the table and had to relegate together with 1. FC Gera 03 from the regional league.

In the 2011/12 season, 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 won the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Association League and qualified for the promotion round to the Regionalliga Nordost. In this promotion round they met SV Eintracht Leipzig-Süd and the Spandauer Kickers. Together with Eintracht Leipzig-Süd, the Neubrandenburg team rose to the Regionalliga Nordost due to the better goal difference compared to the Spandauer Kickers. They also won the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup.

After they were eliminated in the first round of the 2011/12 DFB Cup , they met FFC Oldesloe 2000 in the first round of the 2012/13 DFB Cup and were eliminated from the cup with a 5-0 draw. In the 2012/13 season, the Neubrandenburg team won the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup for the third time in a row.

The 2014/15 season was a season to forget for 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04. In the Regionalliga Nordost they finished penultimate place with just one point, as BSV Al-Dersimspor had already canceled the game before the season. Despite this desperate performance, the team did not relegate because they benefited from the merger of FFV Leipzig and SV Eintracht Leipzig-Süd . After they lost the final of the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup against FSV 02 Schwerin in the 2013/14 season , they won the cup again in the 2014/15 season. In the 2014/15 season, the club's C-Juniors also caused a stir. With a goal rate of 19.56, they are the team with the highest goal rate in German football among all championship competitors.

In the 2014/15 to 2017/18 seasons, the women from 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 won the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Cup and are the record holders with a total of seven wins.
