The Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion (short: Jahnstadion) is a stadium of the city of Neubrandenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , which is used almost exclusively for athletics and bears the name of the initiator of the German gymnastics and early national movement Friedrich Ludwig Jahn . It is the largest stadium in Neubrandenburg.
The Jahnstadion forms with the Jahnsportforum , Neubrandenburg's largest sports hall, and the league square at the Jahnstadion, a sports complex that combines many sports. The Jahnstadion is the home stadium of SC Neubrandenburg , training takes place here in summer and in the Jahnsportforum in winter.
League place
The league square at the Jahnstadion is right next to the Jahnstadion. Football games are played here. The training facilities are located behind the league square. The audience capacity is around 2,500, just under 2,000 in the main stand and almost 500 standing places opposite. It is the home stadium of 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 . In 2019, the plans for a renovation were put out to tender.
