The BSV Al-Dersimspor is a sports club from the Berlin district of Kreuzberg . The club was created in 2003 through the merger of the clubs BSV Al-Spor and FC Dersimspor Berlin, founded in 1993 . The first women's soccer team played in the third- tier Regionalliga Nordost from 2011 to 2014 and once took part in the DFB Cup .

Women's soccer

A year after the merger, the club provided a women's team for the first time, which made promotion in the first two seasons. Now playing in the Association League Berlin, the team quickly established itself in the top group and secured the championship in 2011 due to the better goal difference compared to the Spandauer Kickers . In the promotion round, Al-Dersimspor prevailed against SV Hafen Rostock and rose to the regional league. A year later, the team qualified for the first time for the DFB-Pokal, where they lost 7-0 to 1. FC Lübars in the first round .

In 2008, the women's team of BSV Al-Dersimspor was seen in the documentary Football Under Cover . The film was shot in 2005 and 2006 and is about a friendly match between the Berliners and the Iranian national team in the Ararat stadium in Tehran . In September 2014, the club canceled the team due to a lack of staff.

Men's soccer

The first men's team started after the merger in the district league and rose to the state league in 2005. In 2009/10 they became runner-up behind TSV Rudow . In 2015 he was promoted to the sixth class Berlin league. In 2019 the club was temporarily suspended due to attacks on referees and was a key reason for a referee strike.
