Wang Fei ( Chinese  王飞 , Pinyin Wáng Fēi ; born March 22, 1990 in Pulandian ) is a Chinese soccer player .

Career

Wang began playing soccer in 2003, initially as a midfielder and striker . In 2010 and 2011 she was a goalkeeper for the first time in the senior division for the Chinese club Dalian Shide WFC , in 2012 and 2013 for Liaoning Hongyun in the Chinese Women's Super League, the top division in Chinese women's football. After another season for Dalian Aerbin , she completed a trial training session with Bundesliga club 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam in December 2014 . After she had been able to convince those responsible, she signed a contract on December 17, 2014 that was valid until June 30, 2016. On February 15, 2015 (14th matchday), she made her debut in the 5-1 defeat in the away game against 1. FFC Frankfurt , but moved to the French first division club Olympique Lyon in September 2015 . However, on January 7, 2016, her contract term was mutually agreed upon, after which she returned to China and joined Dalian Quanjian FC.

During the winter break of the 2017/18 season , she was signed by Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich , who provided her with a contract valid until June 30, 2019. Despite her contract term, she was bid farewell to Lena Lotzen , Viktoria Schnaderbeck , Verena Wieder and Laura Georges , who is ending her career, on May 27, 2018, before the top game in the home game against VfL Wolfsburg . At the beginning of the 2018 season , she was part of the women's football department at IF Limhamn Bunkeflo , which was promoted to Damallsvenskan in 2017 . However, since she had not played a competitive game, she returned to China and has been without a club since January 2019.

National team

Wang was - with a two-year hiatus - goalkeeper of the national team of China until 2018. With this she took part in the four-nation tournament in China in 2004 and 2005, the tournament for the Algarve Cup in 2013 and 2014 , as well as the four-nation tournament in Brazil took part in Brasília from 10 to 21 December 2014 , which they finished with the team in third place.

She became known at the Summer Universiade 2011 , which was held in Shenzhen , China, from August 12 to 23 , where she made a significant contribution to the success of her team in the tournament. In the semi-finals, she fended off two shots on penalties for the Brazilian national team and thus secured her team a place in the final, in which the national team of Japan was defeated. At the end of the tournament she was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

She also took part in the World Cup held in Canada from June 6 to July 5, 2015 . She played all three group games and qualified with the team in second place (behind Canada ) for the round of 16 , which was won 1-0 against the national team of Cameroon . The game against the eventual tournament winner from the United States was lost in the quarterfinals with 0: 1. After Wang resigned from the national team in 2016 after disputes with national coach Bruno Bini , she returned in 2018 under the new national coach Jia Xiuquan and took part in the tournament for the Algarve Cup in 2018 .
