Lynn Julia Mester (born March 27, 1992 in Coesfeld ) is a former German soccer player who last played for Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen .

society

Lynn Mester moved to Leverkusen for the 2009/10 season from the B-youth of Westfalia Osterwick. She first played there in the 2nd Bundesliga South and made it to the 1st Bundesliga with her team in the 2010/11 season. With 18 goals scored, Mester, who played mainly in attacking midfield , was the team's top scorer in the promotion season. Without commitment in the Bundesliga season, the club and Mester agreed in January 2011 on an immediate separation.

National team

Lynn Mester has played a total of 39 national games for the youth national teams of the DFB so far. With the U-17 national team, she was European champion in 2008 and 2009 and also finished third at the U-17 World Cup in 2008 in New Zealand .

Private

Mester is the younger sister of Ina Mester , who plays for SG Essen-Schönebeck . She is also the cousin of Mathias Mester , who is a short javelin and discus thrower in the athletics department of Bayer Leverkusen, among other things, multiple world champion. She was in a relationship with Christian Clemens from FC Schalke 04 .

Mester trained as an office clerk at Bayer AG and now works for a personnel consultancy.
