Hinckley is an English city ​​in southwest Leicestershire with 43,246 inhabitants (2001). Along with the constituency Bosworth Hinckley is the County ( Borough ) Hinckley and Bosworth with 100,000 inhabitants. The place is known by the motorcycle manufacturer Triumph and home of the sports car manufacturer Sin Cars UK Ltd. .

William Shakespeare mentions Hinckley in his drama Henry IV.

Hinckley is crossed by the Ashby Canal . It is 160 km from London, 50 km from Birmingham and 20 km from Coventry .
