Le Grand-Quevilly (also: Grand-Quevilly ) is a French municipality with 25,698 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy . It is the capital of the canton of Le Grand-Quevilly and is seven kilometers southwest of Rouen on the Seine . The river limits the community to the west. The inhabitants are called Grand-Quevillais or Grand-Quevillaise .

In 1027 the place is mentioned as Cheivillei (Latinized: Cavilleinum). From the 14th century there was a differentiation between Grand and Petit Quevilly.
