Franck Dubosc (born November 7, 1963 in Le Petit-Quevilly , France ) is a French actor and comedian.

Life

childhood and education

Dubosc is the son of the customs officer Lucien and the Rauthaus officer Janine Dubosc. He attended the Collège Claude Bernard , later the Lycée Val de Seine and practiced judo. Others perceived him as a lonely, shy, and dreamy student. After graduating from high school, he began to study English, which he broke off after three months to enter the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Rouen , where he got to know his future professional colleagues Valérie Lemercier , Virginie Lemoine , Hugues Protat and Karin Viard, among others .

Career

Beginnings on television and first appearances

Dubosc began producing films and television shows. In 1985 he received his first acting role in À nous les garçons from Michel Lang . For the next three years he was assistant to the magician Hugues Protat and gave acting lessons in Paris.

In 1991 he decided to go to the UK where he worked as a reporter for Channel 4 . In 1992 he was the author of the first television program of LÉmission impossible with various other authors on the TF1 channel .

After a time in New York, Dubosc presented Du beau, du bon, Dubosc , his first one-man show in 1998 at the Théâtre de Dix heures . The following year his next program, J'Vous ai pas raconté, followed in the theater-café Splendid and in the years up to 2002 in many other locations.

From 2000 to 2003 Franck Dubosc returned to television and participated in the television program On a tout essayé on France 2 .

Breakthrough in the cinema and on stage

In 2006 he celebrated a great success with the film Camping . This was followed by other commercially successful films such as Asterix at the Olympic Games , but also a flop with the film Cinéman . In 2010 the second part of Camping appeared and in 2013 Boule and Bill followed , in which he played the parents of Boule ( Charles Crombez ) with Marina Foïs .

In 2016, the Camping trilogy ended with Camping 3 . The second part of Boule and Bill followed in 2017 .

Private life

After five years, Franck Dubosc separated in 2003 from his companion Sabrina Dufay , a television producer.

Since 2006 he has lived with the Lebanese Danièle, who is more than ten years younger than Dubosc. They got engaged in April 2009 and married on June 19, 2009. They have two sons together: Raphaël (born January 6, 2010) and Milhan (born October 28, 2012).
