Clères is located about 17 kilometers north of Rouen on the Clérette river . Clères is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Grugny in the north, Frichemesnil in the north-east, Authieux-Ratiéville in the east, Mont-Cauvaire in the south, Anceaumeville in the south-west, Sierville in the west, Le Bocasse in the west and north-west and La Houssaye-Béranger in the north-west.
