Clères is a French commune with 1,369 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Rouen and the canton of Bois-Guillaume (until 2015: canton of Clères ).

Clères is located about 17 kilometers north of Rouen on the Clérette river . Clères is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Grugny in the north, Frichemesnil in the north-east, Authieux-Ratiéville in the east, Mont-Cauvaire in the south, Anceaumeville in the south-west, Sierville in the west, Le Bocasse in the west and north-west and La Houssaye-Béranger in the north-west.
