It belongs to the arrondissement of Rouen and the canton of Le Mesnil-Esnard (until 2015: canton Darnétal ). The inhabitants are called Martainvillais .

Martainville-Épreville is surrounded by the neighboring communities Servaville-Salmonville in the north and north-west, Grainville-sur-Ry in the north, Ry in the north-east, Saint-Denis-le-Thiboult in the east, Auzouville-sur-Ry in the south, Bois-d ' Ennebourg in the southwest and Bois-l'Évêque in the west.
