Hautot-le-Vatois is a French municipality with 354 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy (before 2016 Haute-Normandie ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Rouen (until 2017: Arrondissement Le Havre ) and the canton of Yvetot (until 2015: Canton Fauville-en-Caux ).

Hautot-le-Vatois is located about 37 kilometers northwest of Rouen in the Pays de Caux . Hautot-le-Vatois is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rocquefort in the north, Les Hauts-de-Caux with Autretot in the east and northeast, Baons-le-Comte in the east and southeast, Valliquerville in the south, Écretteville-lès-Baons in the south and southwest as well as Envronville to the west and northwest.
The A29 autoroute runs through the south of the municipality .
