Fontaine-sous-Préaux is located about seven kilometers northeast of Rouen and is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Isneauville in the north and north-west, Quincampoix in the north-east, Préaux in the east, Roncherolles-sur-le-Vivier in the south and south-east and Saint-Martin-du- Vivier to the west and south-west.
