Saint-Léger-du-Bourg-Denis is surrounded by the neighboring communities Darnétal in the north, Saint-Jacques-sur-Darnétal in the northeast, Saint-Aubin-Épinay in the southeast, Le Mesnil-Esnard in the south and southwest, Bonsecourd in the west and Rouen in the north-west.
history
In the 12th century, the place was called Burdeni (as a shortening of Burdeniacum ). During the time of the French Revolution , this place name was misinterpreted in Bourg-Denis , which continues to this day in the community name.
