Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray is a French city with 28,641 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Seine-Maritime department in the region of Normandy . It is the capital of the canton of Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray and part of the canton of Sotteville-lès-Rouen . The inhabitants are called Stéphanais or Stéphanaises .

The municipality is located in the metropolitan area of Rouen on the Seine , about ten kilometers south of the city center of Rouen , on the edge of the forest area Forêt de la Londe-Rouvray .

Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray has a train station on the Paris – Rouen – Le Havre railway line, but it is no longer served in tourist traffic. The final stop of the “Ligne Technopôle” of the Rouen tram , which has four more stops in the north-western part of the city, is in Avenue de la Mare aux Daims .
The main traffic axes run in a north-south direction, including the four-lane department road 18 E , which leads south of the village to junction 22 “Rouen-Ouest” of the A13 motorway . National road 338 runs west of the city .
