Historic course of the road

The historic national road was established in 1933 between Estrées-en-Chaussée and Le Crotoy . Their total length was 124 kilometers. In 1949 the route between Estrées-en-Chaussée and Péronne was shortened (by 10 km), as national road 44 was extended to Péronne. In 1973 the graduation took place over the entire length.
