The Route nationale 250 , or N 250 or RN 250 for short , is a French national road that was originally laid between Bordeaux and Arcachon . The length of the original road is around 60 kilometers. The route with today's classification as N 250 has a length of a little more than three kilometers.

D1250 (Bordeaux-Facture)

Until 1973, the route from Bordeaux to Facture, a district of Biganos , was the RN 650. Due to the motorway route of the Autoroute A 63 and the Autoroute A660 until shortly before Arcachon, the downgrade as a departmental road remained. The D1250 runs parallel to the A63 until shortly before Facture. At junction 2 of the A660 autoroute, the route joins the motorway.

From junction 2, the A660 continues the route of the original route nationale 250. From junction 3, the route continues to be signposted as a car route, although there are now two roundabouts and therefore no clear intersections. At the roundabout leading to the Arcachon-La Teste-de-Buch airport (D652), the autoroute merges into the N 250.

N 250

The remaining short section of the N 250 begins at the roundabout to the Arcachon airport and La Teste-de-Buch and ends after a little more than three kilometers at the Éxchangeur du Pilat . From there, the coast and the Landes department can be reached via the D250.

D 1250

From the junction Le Pilat, the road continues as D 1250 on the western edge of La Teste-de-Buch to Arcachon to the north. After about four kilometers, the D1250 ends at the roundabout in the center of Arcachon or on the beach boulevard (Boulevard de la Plage).
