The N11 is a French national road established in 1824 between the N10 south of Poitiers and Rochefort. It goes back to the route impériale 12. Their length was 130.5 kilometers. In 1973 it was graduated between Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon and Rochefort and in 1978 it was given a new leadership:
In 2006 it was graduated between the N10 and the confluence of the N248 southwest of Frontenay-Rohan-Rohan. The existing route has been expanded as an expressway and is to become the A810 in the future.
