Sainte-Soulle is a French commune with 4,533 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Charente-Maritime department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle , the canton of La Jarrie and is a member of the commune association La Rochelle Agglomération . The inhabitants are called Solinois (es) .

geography

Sainte-Soulle is about 13 kilometers east of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis landscape . The Canal de Marans à La Rochelle limits the municipality in the north-west. Sainte-Soulle is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Ouen-d'Aunis in the north, Vérines in the east, Saint-Médard-d'Aunis in the south and southeast, Bourgneuf in the south and Dompierre-sur-Mer in the west.

The National Route 11 runs through the municipality . In addition to numerous smaller towns, the town of Usseau also belongs to the municipality.
