Longèves is a French municipality with 975 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017), in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine located. It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle and the canton of Marans . The inhabitants are called Longevois .
geography
Longèves is located about 14 kilometers northeast of La Rochelle on the Canal de Curé . Longèves is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Andilly in the north and north-west, Nuaillé-d'Aunis in the east, Angliers in the south-east, Vérines in the south and Saint-Ouen-d'Aunis in the west and south-west.
The Route nationale 11 runs through the southeast of the municipality .
