Saint-Christophe is a French commune with 1,357 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle , the canton of La Jarrie and is a member of the commune association La Rochelle Agglomération . The inhabitants are called Christophois or Saint-Christophois .
geography
Saint-Christophe is located about 15 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis landscape . Saint-Christophe is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Saint-Médard-d'Aunis in the north, Anais in the northeast, Virson in the east, Aigrefeuille-d'Aunis in the south, La Jarrie in the west and Clavette in the northwest.
