Villedoux is a French commune with 2,237 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017), in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (previously Poitou-Charentes ) is located. It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle and the canton of Marans . The inhabitants are called Villedousais .
geography
Villedoux is located about eleven kilometers northeast of La Rochelle on the Canal de Marans à la Rochelle . Villedoux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Charron in the north, Andilly in the east and northeast, Saint-Ouen-d'Aunis in the east and southeast, Saint-Xandre in the south, Marsilly in the west and southwest and Esnandes in the west.
