Clavette is a French commune with 1,380 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Rochelle , the canton of La Jarrie and is a member of the commune association La Rochelle Agglomération . The inhabitants are called clavettais .
geography
Clavette is about ten kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the historic Aunis landscape . Clavette is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Rogatien in the north and west, Montroy in the north and east, Saint-Médard-d'Aunis in the east, Saint-Christophe in the south-east, La Jarrie in the south and La Jarne in the south-west.
