The District of La Jarrie is a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It includes 14 parishes from the arrondissements of La Rochelle and Rochefort . It was changed slightly in spring 2015 as part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons.

With the nationwide constituency reforms in 2015, the municipalities of Bouhet and Thairé moved to the canton, while the municipalities of Saint-Vivien and Salles-sur-Mer moved to the canton of Châtelaillon-Plage . The original canton covered an area of ​​143.93 km ² . Before the reform it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 1710.
