The District of Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron was 2015 a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the former region Poitou-Charentes . It comprised four parishes on the island of Oléron in the arrondissement of Rochefort ; its capital (French: chef-lieu ) was Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. The last representative in the conseil général des Départements was Jean-Paul Peyry ( UMP ) for the years 1985–2015 .
