The District of La Rochelle-2 is a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . In the Arrondissement of La Rochelle, it covers part of the city of La Rochelle . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, its layout increased so that the canton now has 25,089 inhabitants (as of 2017). With the reorganization, his INSEE code also changed from 1724 to 1715.
