The District of La Tremblade is a French canton in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It comprises nine municipalities in the Rochefort arrondissement . As part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons, it was expanded in spring 2015.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of La Tremblade included the six communes of Arvert , Chaillevette , Étaules , La Tremblade , Les Mathes and Saint-Augustin . Its layout corresponded to an area of 170.14 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 1740.
