The Canton Island of Oleron is a French canton in the Arrondissement Rochefort , in the department of Charente-Maritime and in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It includes the eight municipalities of the island of Oléron . During the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in 2015, it was newly formed from the two predecessor cantons Le Château-d'Oléron and Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron .
